Our team is made up of dedicated specialists, with years of experience in managing major kitchen, galley, laundry and front of house installations.

We are also food production equipment specialists. 2 of our directors were previously employed by Convotherm, which gives us an in-depth understanding of Combi Ovens and also food regeneration processes and equipment.

After starting in the catering industry as a production baker John moved on to sales for manufacturers of catering equipment including Hobart, Bonnet, Convotherm, Enodis and MKN.

He combines a passion for kitchen design with a detailed approach, whether in smaller restaurants and hotels or in large-scale public sector and industrial catering facilities.

John successfully completed the IOSH ‘Managing Safely’ course in April 2015.

David Sharp

David’s background in engineering and manufacturing enabled him to recognise the potential of the company from its inception.

Whilst his main function is to run our sister company IDL Colour Coatings Ltd, David is instrumental in bringing business to the company for the south of England.

Experience in the Retail, Healthcare, IT and Voluntary Sectors as well as in the Hospitality Sector with Enodis and Convotherm provides a good background in management and finance to the businesses under the IDL banner.

Amy Parry

Sales Director

Amy joined IDL in January 2019 as the Sales Director. Amy’s role includes supporting the MD, John Thresh and heading up the sales division.

With extensive knowledge in catering equipment and kitchen design, Amy works closely with our customers to ensure they receive an excellent level of service at all times. Amy has worked in the catering industry for over 10 years, initially in hotel management before moving into equipment sales.

During her time in the industry she has worked for a commercial kitchen ventilation company, gaining huge amount of experience in this field. Over the years, Amy has successfully supported the FSCI (food service consultants society international) and is well known with food service professionals and manufacturers up and down the country.

Joining IDL early 2018 Leanne enjoys a varied role at IDL which includes dealing with customer enquiries, producing quotations and organising transport/delivery.

During Leanne’s time at IDL she has become fluent with our internal computer systems, sage and auto quotes ensuring that our customers receive a prompt response to their enquiries.

Leanne’s previous role involved building components for catering equipment, therefore she has a great understanding of equipment and spare parts.

Accounts and Service Coordinator

Emily joined IDL in August 2021 as our accounts and service coordinator.

Emily works closely with our catering engineers and customers by coordinating service call outs and repair work efficiently. She provides an excellent level of service and a quick turnaround for our customers. Alongside of service work, she supports our finance director with accounts work.

Emily studied Business and Enterprise Management at Sheffield Hallam University.  White studying Emily gained knowledge and experience in problem solving, creativity, marketing and providing great customer service.

Emily is relatively new to the catering equipment industry, but has bags of enthusiasm and a strong determination to learn and is already making a big impact on the company.

Scott

Apprentice Catering Engineer

Scott joined IDL in October 2021 as part of their growing engineering team. He quickly settled in and gets involved in assembling equipment and packing spare parts.

Scott often joins John on-site fixing and installing commercial kitchen equipment for customers.

He has a real ‘can-do’ attitude and just gets on with the job in hand.
